Has anyone had luck treating rays that swell up near the base of the disc/tail area in what looks like to be "edema"? if anyone could shed any light on this at all having a rough time finding any real answers. unsure if i should treat with metro or prazi? or salt bath? i will post pictures later. shes still sems fairly active and is still eating.

Sorry I can't help but nice super spot
Hard to tell from photo (for me at least), but edema is a symptom; not a disease. Causes of edema are low blood protein, possibly from a too low of protein diet, general malnutrition, renal (kidney) issue, or possible heart problem (which seems unlikely). Antibiotics probably won't hurt but won't help problems listed.

I would double check all husbandry issues. Water, light, temp, diet, etc.

Good luck.

sorry having trouble making sense from the photo. How is she doing? Anyone in there picking on her?

Is she still passing the food ok? Might not be a bad idea to have a sample tested by a vet.

She's alone no one is picking on her. I added salt and prazi. I guess fingers crossed.

shes not eating all that well. Gunna pump some crawlers in there and soak her worms in some meds as well...

Without knowing the issue, thats really all you can do. Hopefully things turn around in a hurry, we will see. Would hate to lose her, she is a beautiful hybrid.
