Treatment of mouth rot

Hey guys, this morning I noticed that the jaw on my biggest Rainbow is white/red and it's also partially eaten away. I put him in a quarentine tank, and tomorrow I'm gonna send someone to the lfs for treatment (I'm sick, so I can't go meself)... I was thinking pimafix and salt, right?

Normally just clean water will do the trick. If you want to feel like you're doing more you might add some salt. I'm NOT a fan of Mela/Prima Fix. Just a big fan of clean water.
I'm assuming it was an injury and not due to poor water quality?

No, the tank is very well filtered and the water is very clean
Although it's definetaly not just an injury. I suppose it could be an injury that got infected though.
