I'm attempting to reseal a 28 bowfront...I got it all cleaned out, now I'm trying to take out the old silicone... Is there a trick to doing this? I'm using a razorblade and my fingers to try to cut/scrape/pull is out and it's not working very well. Didn't know if there was a miracle trick to getting the silicone off or if I just had to bear through scraping/pulling it out bit by bit.

Do I just pour it on and let it sit then rinse or apply it with a cloth? I've never used mineral spirits let alone heard of them until today... i looked up and read the msds but there's nothing about how to use it, just how to be safe while using it...
