Considering their adult mass, am I stuck at five? I'm thinking of maybe a small pleco species, but that would be it. No real plants, all fake. Two HOB filters, penguin 170 and penguin 300. Weekly W/C of 30-50% depending on nitrates, and light feedings of many types of food. Temp I'll probably raise to about 80ºF, currently at 77ºF. I'm thinking of a grab bag assortment, like one of each of the commonly available strains. I'd hate to get a pair formed that makes mutts, though. Maybe I should go all one type. Any ideas?

What's the diamention of the 55?

5 would be good. cory's to?

Oh, wow. I hadn't thought about cories. Now I'm thinking Hoplosternum or the other... callicthys species. My LFS always has Callicthys!

About 5 would be a good round number IMHO....

I was thinking about getting angels and cories for my 55g too :D:D

Some other people suggested khuli loaches and smaller plecos, tho I haven't seen those for sale :(

Sorry to say but you tank is not a 55g. Standard 55g are 21" tall

Also a breeding pair of adult could make life bad for the other angels
