I got another jd, to go with my female, hoping this one is a male, can anyone confirm it? His fins are pretty torn up from being in a little tank with all the other jd's, and he/she is about 4-5". Sorry for the crappy pics, he's hiding just about all the time, it's the best I could do.

do I need to do anything special to get them to breed? They will soon be in their big home, with 2 oscars, 2 channel cats, a columbian cat, and 2 paroons. (big home being 360 gallon, the channel cats and the paroons are all about a foot, and the columbian cat is about 5", jd's are 5" and o's are babies and growing out right now)

Do some big waterchanges and feed meaty foods. I usually fed earthworms and crayfish.
