Hey. pufferfreak here. i own i puffer at the moment and am planning to expand this when i move. But i have noticed the cool little 3 inch triggers which of course will get very large at my LFS's. what would be a great beginer trigger and ones that require the smaller tank sizes.

all depends on the tank size


some triggers I started out with(not at the same time)
niger trigger
clown trigger
and the picasso trigger

all were very active and were fun to watch.

well i just want to know the fish first tahn i will dsign the tank around it. Preferabley a smaller tank though.

55 at smallest, and thats pushing it (depending on the type). I would say 75

how about a black durgon?? theyre scientinfic name is melythicus(this is probably spelled wrong) niger ( not odunus niger). 75 gallon??

Bluethroat female. They don't get that large. I hve three.

how big do they get?

craig the last couple pictures show what resembles a male blue throat trigger. females tend to be more drab and don't have the blue on the chin. blue thoats get 8-9" and are supposedly pretty calm and not too aggressive.

so the minimum tank size for one would be something like a 55 gal.
