Triggering a prey reflex in predatory fish.

Hello, so as I posted in the puffer section I have bought a large bag of crayfish to feed my fahaka. Issue is she can be slightly picky and not being the dominant fish in the tank doesn't feed first. So I was just wondering if there any secret to get her to strike at something?

Try mussles or clams usually other fish wont bother with the shells on plus will help with the fahakas teeth

Yeah she takes clams in shell quite happily.. But they don't fill her up and are like £8 for a bag of 10 (which is like 2 meals) from the Lfs. So was hoping the crayfish would be a cheaper option long term
