So I'm trying to breed trimacs for the first time. I have these two (male has finally caught up in size w/ female) at about 5.5". They tried to kill each other and I put in a divider - still tried to kill through the divider. I just put them on the same side and added a pair of Rio Cabuya Siquias on the other side and that appears to have done the trick. They are playing nice except for when they try to kill the siquias on the other side of the divider. Keep your fingers crossed - I'll be watching them closely. I'll add another pic w/ the duckweed removed so they don't look green next time. Trimacs 2 8-6-2016.JPG Trimacs 2 8-6-2016.JPG

Good luck, hope they spawn soon.
Failure - he turned on her and being so close in size, there was nowhere for her to hide that he couldn't get to - I'll let him get some more size and then try in a larger tank w/ hiding spots just big enough for her - I'm working on a 180 for them. Maybe I'll get lucky and they'll spawn through the barrier in the meantime.
