Hello, I´d like to know of that family is trimaculatum, thanks

Yes I'm pretty sure there calssified as Amphilophus

Like alot of cichlids it depends on who you ask i have seen them listed as amphilophus wich i beleave is current also nandopsis and cichlosoma i try amphilophus trimaculatus as current

Cichlasoma has been restricted to the south american port cichlids. That's why none of the central americans are Cichlasoma anymore.

Cichlaphilophus trimaculatus LOL, but in all seriousness, i believe it has been put in the Amphilophus genus now.

You will find "Cichlasoma trimaculatum" listed in older publications. It is the same fish currently listed as "Amphilophus trimaculatum".

Because Cichlasoma is/was a slushpit of improperly classified Cichlids. I generally go by what Cichlidae.com list them as, as they're usually up to date, and Amphilophus it is.
