Trimac cichlid

Okay I know a little about them and have done research on them and was wondering for a breeding pair is a 125 gallon suitable or bigger

So a 125 suitable for trimac cichlid ok now how many should I buy to try and get a pair like 6-10 of 3" Trimac's

Depends at 3 to 4" you can somewhat sex them. Thats if you are going to a store and purchasing them and are able to hand pick them. Females should have the black coloring at the beggining of their dorsal fin and males wont. If you are online purchasing them yeah six or so.

Yea I was gonna order online from Gage or Rapps in a few months I don't trust any of the local fish stores to sell Trimac's and I do trust Gage and Rapps so that's who I would order from

Ask them to try their best to sex them for you...that may save you some money and hassle of buying extras. But getting extra will also allow you to pick and choose the best of them to use as your breeders.

3-4" should be big enough to see a black blotch on the dorsal of a likely female.
