when can they breed???? At what size are they mature?


just need to know becasue my two 2.5 inch ones are showing breeding behavior.

you might do a bit better in the hybrid section but ive never heard of this at 2.5" you got some pics in store for us?

SHE LAID EGGS!!!!!


2 inches she is fanning them right now.


she laid them next to the eggcrate divider on a rock and I don;t know if the male fertilized them through the divider or not.

should I put him over there or just let them go.

I put them together last night and I thought they were being to aggressive so I moved the male back but now there are eggs, but seriously they were being jerks.

Oh and my female was FAT now she is looking normal again. she laid a lot of eggs though. Maybe 75-100 is my guess. More eggs than any of my other cichlids ever layed.

My guess would be that they can breed at 2-2.5 inches .

congrats on the eggs id let him go n do his thing. i still want some pics though!
