How many out there are "Cichlasoma" trimaculatus lovers? Trimac Cichlids rank as my all time favorite Cichlid just ahead of Parachormis dovii. I have had 6 Trimacs over the years and they have earned a special place in my heart. I currently do not keep any Trimacs but I want to keep one really bad. Here is a picture of the last male Trimac I had.

I love trimacs power, aggresion, color and personality all in one package.

the most aggressive fish i ever owned was a huge tri mac. we got him in as a trade in at the LFS i worked at. i bought him at about 13" and grew him out to 15" before i sold him a year and a half later. he bashed on my devils and my huge female festae so bad that i had to remove them from my 300. he was a bruiser. i had to have help doin tank maintenance because he would try to destroy my hand. he was so beautiful yet so tough and mean at the same time. he was so bulky it was amazing. for 15" he weighed a good 4.5lbs. not too monster but a definite threat to any fish in his presence!!!!!!

Central did you ever take any pics of that fish? I bet he was spectacular. I've never owned a trimac but lately i've wanted to pick up a few.

RESPECT is wat I give the trimac. meanest psycho fish I ever owned. easily owns other "brusiers", IME.

They are alot harder to come by these days I wanted one for a while and I just settled for a flowerhorn. I know they are a hybrid but I'm not very patient.

I've had acouple Trimacs. Great fish!! I just traded off a breeding pair of them, kept the only surviver from there last spawning. Can't wait to see how he turns out.

i do have pics, but they are all older and on the 3.5 in. disks. my computer has no disk drives on it so i would have to get to another comp that does and post them from there. i actually have LOTS of cool ass cichlid pics so if i can I WILL get them here soon!!!

i think ive seen that one

maybe if you were at the store the day he came in. i bought him and after a few losses due to his aggression i sold him to a buddy in mexico who trys to fight his fish with other peoples fish. seemed to be pretty common in the south bay area of san diego. had lots of "gangsta" types comin in askin if we had any big mean fish for sale.
