I don’t know
I’ve read lot of articles suggesting that lyonsi, trimac and salvini are possibly very closely related.
At first I didn’t see it at all but I keep 2/3 of those species and I’m starting to believe it more and more.
Wondering if anyone has considered the centrachus part of this group. Aside from the color body shape and behavior seem very similar albeit the green/blue centrarchus is much milder ( as we would expect, if we can draw parallels from other animals who exhibit bright coloration and high aggression)?
Does anyone see this similarity? At all?

Trimac and lyonsi are closely related, but dna test still puts them in the Amphilophus group, dna shows that there is no relationship to the others you mentioned that's why there under Trichromis and Archocentrus. The articles you read where written before dna testing.
