Hey guys here are some pictures of my fish tank and my Jeff Rapps Trimac. Hes about 10+ inchs I would say. He also a glass banger, he thinks that anything two feet away from the tank is his. But I am at a cross roads I don't know what to do next! I am afraid to get him a female because of his size and aggressiveness and I know that would be the only option if I were to put anything else with him. Unless I can find a female thats already close to the same size in the area. But thats something to think about in the future.

Right now since you guys have an up to date picture of my fish and his tank. I am asking for some help on what I should do next to the tank? I am keeping the gravel since its such a pain to take out. But should I take out the plants completely? He moves them around whenever he feels like it but it seems like he likes to sit next to them for some kind of cover. But any suggestions help!

Sorry about the blurry-ness of some of them he hates iPhones just as much! And unfortunately this iPhone washes out his colors

If anyone would like to post their Amphilophus and their fish tank set ups for some kind of reference that would be great!

Comments welcomed!

-Jay

Very nice Trimac, nice fins and body form. Is the tank in the center of the room? I would use a black background and 10K lighting will bring out the fishes blue and the red colors.
He is going to rearange the tank the way he wants and the plants will most likly be destroyed. Some driftwood will work well with him. Again very nice fish, Trimacs are my personal favorite, but I love anything Amphilophus. Good luck and keep us posted.

He's a beauty. I would like one of these in the near future. I also think that a black background will really bring out his colors and form.

There is actually a black background on the tank its just hard to see with the glare on the tank.

That is one sexy Fish. Don't see enough Trimacs these days. Look at those eyes and trails.

Haha yea hes a lot nicer in real life, and his trails are really long, one reason why I don't want to put a female in there with him, I would hate to see them get taken off!

I bought him from Jeff Rapps when he was offering males. I probably wouldn't buy a trimac from any local dealers although fintastic is one of the few places whose opinion I actually think is worth listening too. Does fintastic have them in stock?

No, not now. I was just wondering because Ash and I (we both worked there) bought male trimacs fromm Rapps a couple of years ago. Ash got rid of his and I was wondering if this was him.

Great looking fish, by the way.
