Trimac update

when i recieved them back in late nov 08. still little and barely starting to show color.

Today i removed the divider from thier 125 and all hell broke lose in a matter of seconds, luckily i was able to grab the camera in time, enjoy.

They have since been divided again....and back to being anal little kids and trying to bite me as sit next to them typing this...

They colored up very nicely! Any damage during their rough~
housing? My male at roughly 4''s has killed other fish starting
out this way,..some fish chase and fin nip,..Trimacs just kill!

Cool fish, I love Trimac. The female is bigger and beefier than the male. I used to have some and they bred at 3".

ya, she's always been bigger, there was a while where she was twice his size, but since ive moved him into the 125 he's put on some size in a hurry, figure it wont be long and he'll pass her.


xilo, there was no damage i was able to split them fast enough, divider was only out for 15 mins.

Very nice pair, and good to see some good trimacs around here! I agree, that female is quite *fat* compared to him -- I hope the male can take her on My guy at that size would get scared and hide all the time.

They came from Rapps, was part of a large order of fish that were purchased by Pet inc here in Phoenix.

new update. bout a week ago my female deceided to eat a 6 inch common catfish, tore her up pretty bad, i tried putting her in a 55 hospital tank, then proceeded to treat her with melafix, and everything else i could do to try and save her. came home from work today and noticed she had finally gave up, and moved on . im quite upset by this, her and my male were my favorites out of all my fish i own, or ever owned.

my male now has the 125 to himself is dumbfounded that there's not a divider blocking his way across the tank. i'll have some new pics of him after i move him into his new fish room this weekend.
