I rescued this Triac from a guy who had him in a 2 gallon bucket outside in the cold (amazed he lived) for a entire week as it ate his guppies, what'd ya exspect. It is now in a friends 6ft aquarium with a smaller trimac which the guy also had. My question is if there is mud in this trimacs blood, or is it pure bred trimac (doubtful); Also there is a pic of the little guy, not a good pic. And I was wondering if you could sex the two of them (I will get better pics soon) and how big should they grow, I don't have any expirance with these fish so just wondering.

The top one looks fairly pure to me.I would lean towards male on that 1 too.
I cant tell on the bottom pic.I originally thought if they didn't have three spots they weren't pure but there are just to many pics around to prove that wrong.(even from Jeff rapps)

I cant beleive the guy expected it to live in a bucket.GOOD save:headbang2
 
He didn't, he was waiting for it to die, I almost hit the guy but I would have lost my job. This pic is the day after I got him, you can see the bite marks on his side from fighting with the synspilun, healed now. I was setting up a temp 55 for one of them that night and deciede to let it sit over night for safety reasons (had a muture filter but I wanted to give it 24hrs), but the trimac killed the Syn. that night, nice fish he was aswell. 12-14inch, the 6ft will do him for life then, 18"w (I think). I will get better pic once I find the cameras charger.

I want him back but my mate says he's keeping him, like hell I'll break in and steal the guy if I have to.
