Trimacs...Babies having babies

As yall might remember I picked up my cichlid order from Jeff Rapps on 9-18-2007. My order included a 2" male and 2 female Trimacs. I recently had to remove one of the females from the growout tank because the other 2 were ganging up on her. The last few days they have been doing the humpty hump. This morning they're guarding eggs!!! My Trimacs are only 3 INCHES!!!!

I'm not ready to deal with Trimacs fry yet...maybe they'll eat the eggs since they're such inexperienced parents.
 
ill deal with a few for you when they hatch if you'd like. hahaha, damn kids these days man, it's all that MTV i tell you, no morals.
 
I have the same thing going on ... I just recieved my 4 Trimacs about 2 months ago and I already have a nest and a pair. The male is about 4 to 5 inches but the female is only 2.5 to 3. The female's colors are very dark and the male is not letting anything near the nest except for my little 1" Texas Cichlid and the female Trimac. Hope I have eggs soon.
 
Wow so soon, shame your not in a position to grow the fry on. Still awsome to have a proven pair.

I didn't say it was impossible to grow them out. I have an extra 20 long laying around and about 6 HOB's not in use at the moment. I just don't have a place to put the tank according to my :screwy: wife.

Oh, my bad, I just misread it. But if your wife continues to say that, I might take some, :D My mom complains that I don't have room for more tanks and she doesn't even live w/ me, lol..
