I finally found these. Everywhere I went they were trying to sell fh for trimacs, so i had to to travel to a LFS that orders from TUIC. It was a drive but very well worth it.

this might be a dumb question but are they supposed to have that many spots? i thought it was just 3 spots.

they're kind of like a light olive green, but i took these with my phone and flash. not sure if they should be more green. ive never had them before. they are about 1.5" right now and really aggressive with each other. i highly doubt they are fh's. found the store on Rapps site. Aquatek in Austin, TX.

Number of spots for most Trimacs I have seen, vary and are never always 3. My female has more than three spots, and my male has *almost* no middle spot. Unless you want to enter them in a competition (where they might be picky about this), it should not matter.

Good pickup, I wish more LFS in my area did that.

looks good and i agree aboat the spots my old male had no middle spot so i re homed him, picked up a son of his and he looks much like your fish. congrates and enjoy awesome fish

The number of spots has nothing to do with wether they are pure or not. Some only have 3. Some have 5 or 6 spots. I have a male with 3 on one side and 4 on the other side.

They look good to me. They will get more olive green as they grow.

Agree fully with this! Nice pick ups!!! Besides when these guys grow, some of the spots can fade out or remain. You just have to see.

Keep us updated!

Ditto on above comments as far as the fish being a trimac. It looks like one to me.
