Trimming Glass Lid?

hey guys i have a 75g and the the glass lids that i got with it are literally .5 centimeters too big, is there anyway i can trim them down?

You can try to file it down with a coarse diamond file. I know this works for taking the sharp edge off of glass after cutting it, I don't see why it would not work to take a little off the size.

A glass shop could sand it down with a wet sanding-belt.

Best idea u can't cut such a small amount off does it have plastic hinge are both pieces seated in there fully

My local glass shop was happy to do this for free. Don't dicker with glass if you are not a professional.

If you've ever tried to cut a small strip of glass, it's pretty hard. Cleanly cutting off a 5mm strip would be really difficult.

The lid for my 45g was the same way so we ground it down a bit.
