I awoke this moring to find my three 8" BPs all dead.. two were outright gone and one was on the floor gasping his last. No fish had any visual signs of harm/disease. I am absolutly gutted.
All my other fish are perfect... what could cause this??????
My tank water is very good, temp is fine.. *sigh*
They share a 400 litre (105 US gal) with a few other young cichlids including 2 6" Oscars and 2 4" firemouths plus a 5" GT. Never have I seen any aggression, they all got on great.
The only thing I can think of is I recently medicated my tank with Metro.. and BPs are sensitive to it. I put carbon in a few days ago to remove this.. and they were in the water with it for weeks.
