I have a bunch of duboisi that were eating like pigs then lfs said I need to feed sinking granules now two of them are hanging back and dont seem to be eating. lfs said to use epsom salt but there is already aquarium salt in the tank and dont want to over do it . Please help they are about 2to 3 inches . Thanks

I have 11 troph duboisis (1.5-2.5") and I feed them veggie flakes and sinking cichlid granules...you don't have to feed them cichlid granules though, what did you feed them before?

I went back to feeding them flake but they stay back and dont seem interested in the food. I was feeding spirolina flake then the granules they liked the granules a lot but stopped eating all together

That is call BLOAT.

Treat them ASAP.

Thanks for all the help but the little guy died today it did look like bloat by pics I looked at. I didnt think it was commen for these to get bloat ,I thought it was more a Lake Malawi thing . Thanks again for all the advice

Tropheus are very susceptible to bloat. They have a long digestive track and can bloat up easily. Sorry for your loss.

with my friend who holds tropheuse also had this problem
My trophus, eat tetra discus for more than a year and I did not have a blot
I also Pseudotropheus demasoni who also eat tetra discus with the addition of spirulina tab
