For those of you that have never seen troph eggs I figured I would share the pics. Tumbling eggs from one female now.

They look really big....

Larger than say any CA/SA eggs?

Never really been into CA/SA so not sure how big the eggs are, I would say they are BB size.

BB's are pretty big compared to eggs I've seen.

How long til they hatch?

Females tumble them in their mouths, BUT at the same rate there are a lot more place for the fry to hide and get the food they need in the wild. Lets just say I let the female hold in my tank that has 40 Kiriza. What do you think the survival rate of the fry would be? Ten Percent? I tumble because I want to keep my fry not lose them to fish snacks. I know it is a touchy subject but everyone has a different way of doing things. I could on and on about the pros and cons of stripping vs. not stripping but lets save that for another thread :D

Wow they are bigger than any of the mbuna eggs Ive tumbled. My trophs are still young, not breeding yet.Is that a homemade tumbler?

Yes it is a home-made tumbler, A friend of mine makes them and wanted me to try this one, he uses them to tumble featherfin eggs which are roughly the same size.
