A quick note - we'll post some showfish photos later today or tomorrow!

We won 1st & 2nd this year in the Pike class, Scott Arney won 3rd with a beautiful female Johanna. Our Cincta looked great on Thursday & Saturday but was pale Friday and didn't show well during the judging that evening. Someone had a primo Scotti, and there was a nice belly crawler, I think 12 entries total. Rick Perez brought an unusual sp. lugubris that was looked evilly sick! A good turn out - better than usual!

My wife took home 16 trophies including the new "Show Pro" catagory for most points, sorta the Grand Champion! So we were happy driving back the nearly 1100 miles, arriving home 3:30 a.m. Mtn. time. Our thanks to Ted Judy, Jeff Michels and all the club members who worked hard to put on a smooth convention. My only complaint was that the showroom lighting was sub-standard, making it hard to see the true beauty of all the magnificent cichlids.

Glad you two made it home! Biggs took all the fish photos, I will have to get some from him :D

You two brought some great fish to the show. It's always a pleasure to see them.

Pictures or it didn't happen! :p

WE were there. . . where were you??? I just checked, no pike pics on my camera, I will see about getting them.

OH - - - it most certainly DID Happen! My camera is broke, Dan only took several shots of the Pikes, can't find her download cord in the luggage.... Chris took a lot of showfish pics & our friend Joe shot everything. We'll have to import some good shots & get them posted! So there you have it!

Our Cobra female won first place, with the Lacustris male in second. The Scotti was also Scott Arney's creni! We got an Alta pair, two Cyanagutus, another Anthurus from him, he also had some Celidichilus that Felipe Cantera brought from Uruguay.

Ken Davis and Vin Kutty were there. Oliver Lucanus gave a great talk on the Amazon, his new book is fantastic - many many wonderful photos Below Water & of incredibile South American terrain, what a great guy! I hope more people try to make it next year in DC, it is ALWAYS a GooD TimE.

Am hoping Ray 'Big Pic' took some Pike pics - he won 1st in the photo class with a gorgeous Tuba female with fry (which he kindly gave to my Wife!)

Do we meet you at ACA???

I tend to forget that people don't associate my screen name with my personal name. That's what I get for making the assumption.

We talked quite a few times and I helped load your fish on Sunday!
