Tropic Isle Tahitian Moon Sand?

I'm not familiar with the 3M colorquartz but Tahitian Moon Sand is great stuff......
 
I've heard it is really messy and fine grained, plus over priced. It looks great though.

Theres a seller on ebay called specialty grit co, which you can get nice black sand for about $1 per pound with shipping. Not sure if that is cheaper or not.
 
My experience ends that it is way to pricey for my tastes. For that price I can get black flourite sand which helps me grow super neato plants too. But it does look nice, and I know a couple of people who got it for the same reason you are looking into it... the ever elusive 3m products...
 
i can't find black flouro sand but i can always get this $20=20#'s i like it ALOT!!!!
 
I have it in my 220. I don't rememebr what I payed for it. I bought 13 bags so he gave me a good deal. I think I didn't want to even look. I think ti was around 210. SO maybe around 16 a bag or something like that.
