Preparing for tropical storm Isaac! so I just learned that we are expecting to get hit by this storm sometime thursday PM. First thing I did was a good water change, collect tons of water, and have my electrical converter box ready.. That's incase we lose power, I can run it from the car battery into my filters and power heads.

That reminds me to always be prepared they have it up here in the florida area sunday night into monday..the big question is where in florida??

You sound pretty prepared. I'd also stop feeding your fish so the water stays cleaner. Good luck!

Good advice. Do you have a generator? Last year I lost pwr for a week, A couple of battery powered air pumps are always good to have. Prime will help too if you have to go a while between water changes.

Yeah! Been living here for almost a year now. It's amazing how many times on a weekly basis we lose power due to rain... And I'm talking just normal rain. Lol! Really didn't think much of the storm till it hit me... I could be more than a week without power, so I think as long as I could hook up the filters to my car's battery they should be fine.
