In The Jungle
Setup: 125gallon, Eheim 2217, Eheim 2215 Temp 80F, Driftwood, Black sand, ph 7.0- 6.8, ammonia 0, nitrites and nitrates spike since ive been over feeding to try and get the polys to eat.... Settles with water change.

Fish: Silver aro 14", Clown knife 10", Florida gar 11", Weeksii 8", Albino senegal 9", Endli 11", Senegal 7", Palmas 10" Ornate 7", Marbled Achara cat 8", 12" fire eel.:D

Problem: Recently got the fire eel, Ornate, palmas, endli and achara cat BUT The palmas is thin and i never see it eat (day or night), same issue with weeksii which ive had for a month. Never see the fire eel eat either Achara cat and clown are beasts and eat most of the food before the polys can think. The senegals are fine, and the ornate and endli take target fed silversides. (Endli also ate 10" ropefish first night.)

Palmas is always drifting about (once took a silverside but was too large and spit it back out, hasnt takes one since, about 2 days now), weeksii seems active at times but wont be target fed. Not sure how weeksii is alive, never see him eat, fire eel either. :irked:

ANY TIPS? WILL I HAVE TO GET RID OF THE Marbled ACHARA CAT WHICH I AM IN LOVE WITH AND GOT A GOOD DEAL ON? And or the Clown knife I got for free?

Feeding Hikari aro sticks, carnivore pellets, frozen krill, IQF silversides.

Starve him them for a bit no fish will let itself starve to death.

I had problems with my new 14" Ornate so I used a wooden meat skewer and put the food to his mouth. Took a wk or so but he finally ate.
Try Mucsles and prawns mine loves these (and Green terrors lol).
I feed every other day this seems to be working well.
GOOD LUCK.

that happened to my weeksii too.
just try to soak foods in garlic, as said above. also, try offering extra stinky foods. hahaha.

don't be so discouraged about ur new fish not eating. i had this nervous problem once with my red wolf fish. he just simply wouldn't each. He would nibble it but will spit the whole thing out! As my people in MFK say, a fish's hunger will over take his/her selfishness! Within 2 weeks ( it bet it'll take way less time for ur fish since my tank was barely cycled) my wolf was happily eating! good luck!
