ok so its official. ive decided to set up a Tanganyikan tank.
problem is none of my LFS's (5 of them) carry any Tanganyikans.
im interested in Tropeus and Eretmodus cycnostictus.
any ideas where to pick some up?
preferably someone from MFK

You can also check the vendor section.

I'm with you there, i cant find anyone locally worth buying from
have you ben to the Fish PLace in Tonawonda?
i havent ben in years but they used to have the best stock in WNY. im curious as to what they mite have there. its a long drive for me considering i live in Rochester and i dont have a car.

they still have a decent stock, i was there when looking for saltwater fish. i have since sold off my saltwater stock and am now stocking african cichlids.. there are a couple of places i go to that have them but they dont know the difference between a male or female nor do they have the time to help me so im stuck trying to help them...

haha i hear that. i think im going to have some shipped, i have a hard time not seeing the fish before i buy them though. im very picky.

livefish direct is top notch and reasonable

There are many places to buy from that people on here can speak for. You can check out the vendor section too.

I have a hard time finding a good tang stock but luckily one lfs in orlando gets a few in and I may possibly have found someone here who deals with tangs.

just to chime in, I have ordered from livefishdirect twice. both times the fish made it just fine. only issue for me with them was the quality of the stock for some of my order both times was not up to snuff for me. some were fine and some were ugly as sin, or had messed up markings. if you are picky maybe somewhere else would be a better solution
