Trouble in paradise

Both Jade and Greenie have started dropping their egg tubes over the last couple days.
Now, before the tank sprung a leak and was taken down the left side of the tank was where Greenie always spawned. Jade always spawned on the right side.
I guess with the new setup the girls are fighting over who gets the left side now.


I’ve never seen Jade colored up like this before. Both girls fins are dark and their bodies washed out looking.
I find it fascinating how they display darker or lighter depending on what they are communicating towards each other.


After a bit Oliver had seen enough and he broke them up.
Jade was sent to her side on the right and Greenie gets to stay on the left for now.

nice pics. I think my female finally had enough of my male so I split them up. Put her back in with him for the time being, they lip locked for a few hours and now shes done with him again. I need to figure out a new solution.

I think my big female is getting fed up with Oliver. She’s close to spawning and she gets so violent with him. Poor guy has teeth scratches on his head. I think she’s taking her anger out on him because she lost out on spawning rights on the left side of the tank. Jade laid her eggs a few days ago. And they are hatching today.
