Hello guys. Just got my fx5 yesterday and tried to set it up this morning. My problem is that I got all but one of my lid fasteners off. The other one got loose from the orange part that holds the screw tight. All it took was one turn and I heard a click. Now whenever I turn the fastener, the screw turns with it. Any suggestions before I call customer support? I don't really think they would give me a replacement because they'll say it was my fault and not a product malfunction.

If it's brand new they should be able to do something and if anything you say "I opened it this morning and that crap happened, thus leaving me unable to set up the product" Just make a fuss if they arn't helpful and ask for supervisors and names ect... You just really have to haggle them to the point where you get what you want IMO.
sounds like you can pop it back in. if you cant fix it send it over to me so that you wont have to deal with it. hehe
I would want all screws running normally. You should be able to find a wing-nut screw at your local hardware store that will work well.
that's the common problem with o-ring sealing...people tend to overtighten the parts thinking this will seal it better...eveness is more important than torquing down on the screws...puntoturbo;2724027; said:
