I have a p14 pup about 5 weeks old. She is jumping on food but only eating a small amount then tends to swim away from the food I've offered. Even with earthworms she will eat one but no more. Anyone ever had this sort of problem any input would be great

Some pups just need that extra TLC. Have you tried chopping the worms up so that the pup can easily ingest it without having to use extra energy it doesn't have right now? These pups can't compete for food so its best they are partitioned off for a few weeks whilst they build strength and confidence, having other stronger greedier pups around them just intimidates them, they need their own space for a few weeks/ months. Over time the stomach will shrink if they don't get their fair share, its important to offer small amounts as regular as possible, upping the amount over a given time till he or she is eating a decent amount and you can see the abdomen has visibly swelled.
Good luck.

Thanks for that will feed her small amounts more regular. She on her own so nothing to compete with her

I had the exact same thing mate. 4 pups in their own tank and one went off her food at around 4 weeks old. Took me a month and divided her from the others. I made a paste of finely chopped worms, mussel and pellets. This got her going again and one month on she is fine. She is 4 months old now but it has left her very small at around 4", smaller than the pups i just had yesterday from the same mother.
