i wonder,i have two convicts one male the other female i had them atleast a month i been trying to breed them but they show no intrest in the them also,my male convict seems to be nipping at my female convict fins what should i do?

how did you sex them?

Ok, in one easy bundle, some questions, and suggestions:

Questions
Size of their tank?
Their size?
Tank temp?

Some Suggestions
Raise the temp to 79-81F
Do a large water change (~60%) with slightly warmer water (or colder, I hear they both work fine)
Feeding flakes and pellets will condition the female, but I'd suggest maybe 3 days of frozen or live food, and that almost immediately brings my female into breeding mode
If there's a cave in the tank, good. If not, add one. A flower pot, rock arrangement, large PVC pipe, whatever. If they can go inside and stay inside, you're good.

:iagree: help us out a bit.

Changing water is the typical solution, but honestly you more than likely bought just the two fish right? Well thats the usual problem beginner convict breeders have is buying two fish and hoping they will breed because it is easy. Best solution is to buy 6 fish, wait until they pair up and then separate the 4 from the tank.

Hmm They could be infertile...or both males or females
