Trouble With Stealth?

anyone have trouble with them?

I took out a third one that i had been using just yesterday. Three 250w Stealth heater with the same problem. I feel the water once in a while with my finger, and man, instant numbness. These heaters were leaking electricity. thank god me and my fish are still alive. Anyone got this problem ? I mean, this was very obvious, instant numbness and throbbing when the heater is in, and nothing when the heater is out of water.

they look pretty well built with it advertising unbreakableness but their low quality surprise me... the thing though, they offer life guarantee, so i guess i can file a claim, but then i'm not sure if i wanna risk it again. cuz wat if the next one leaks a lil more electricity than the last one, then i'd be dead (literally)

You should be using a GFCI with your aquarium equipment.

I have had them leak on me even when using a GFCI. IMO< they're junk and I won't use them unless they are free.

Im using 2 250w in my 125. Tank is still cycling and stealths are at 85 degrees and holding. No probs so far... .nock...nock

I've never had an issue with mine, but they're in the sump and nothing really bumps into them. Now I'm worried. I'm planning on redoing a bunch of stuff with my sump, perhaps I'll redo the heating as well.
