trouble with TireTrack Eel not eating

I bought a tt eel about 5 days ago and have yet to see it eat anything.
I've tried bloodworms,shrimp,and pellets(as i've seen one at the lfs eat them before) Should I be worried?

Don't know previous diet they said the got it in about 4 days previous. Is about 10"

Eels can not eat for periods of time due to stress or sometimes no apparent reason, similar to bichirs. Keep an eye on him and make sure he has hiding spots, good water and isn't looking sickly.

Have you tried earthworms?

Earthworms are like candy to both tt eels and fire eels.

I will was trying to stay clear of those because of availiblity until spring when I can start a worm farm. If doesn't eat anything in the next day or 2 will go get some.
