I was treading up about schools keeping and rearing trout in a 29 gallon aquarium and wondered if I should do the same. But me not knowing a thing about most natives( know a lot about Eurasian fish) came here for any suggestions.

The chances that the school keeping/rearing trout in aquariums are usually temporary and short-term. Another issue is that a 29gal is too small for a fully grown trout. I know for sure that they keep the aquarium high oxygenated.

I raised my first batch of 3 trout in a 29g and eventually moved them into a bigger tank but they jumped out so beware. But its possible.

Just throw them in a kiddie pool and make it into a trout pond, same as a koi pond but trout LOL, I use to have one it was fun, I would fish in it and kept them throughout the year doing well in the summer time here in socali... UNTIL my GRANDMA came over -_- ........ They were all gone after she left.... I never got anymore trouts afterwards lol

Did grandma eat them?

Its called trout in the classroom, through Trout Unlimited. The fry are only raised for a short period of time before they are released. The 29 gallons with the trout have chillers hooked up to them also. More information can be found here. http://www.troutintheclassroom.org
