Hey guys
i have found this* video on youtube , and ask me is this a true bichir ?
Frank Schäfer (aqualog) says:
-juvenils are richly colored contrasting

-Most keep they her coloring up to 16" (plain gray with longitudinal washy towels and stains)

-from 16" by lapradei difficult to distinguish
Bichir have never vertical bandages on the front ther body

-Bichir, has spots on the back body part ( like the video )

so Frank Schäfer describes P.bichir.bichir

So the video show a true bichir ?

Although nice, yours seems to be a P.senegalus.
What the other people are talking about is P.bichir.bichir.
Although yours is a bichir, this thread is referring to the species, subspecies name (which is bichir bichir).
Make sense? Confusing I know.
;)
