True Chocolate Cichlid size?

All research points to them being 12 inch in size but I have never seen one near this big, not even in pictures. They all look about 8 inch max?

Does anyone have any large sized chocolate cichlids, if so what size are they? Any pics?

I don't have one, but the LFS near me had a pair in their 1,000 gallon display tank before they closed down a few years ago. An adult male can definitely get to 12".

They are are capable of 12" but usually max out at 8-10"
