i know little about them and i have been thinking of them a fare bit. i know a few of you guys have kept them so i figured this is the place to ask. i know they get big 30" plus i am curious about long term . is it difficult to get them eating are they finicky eaters? would three be comfortable in a 8'x 4'x2' tank or a 6' diameter stock tank? just how sensitive to water quality water quality? the aqua log rate them at a level 4 on difficulty highest is 5. so fairly difficult. i am just wondering if you can get them threw that initial acclamation period if they seem to become as easier. motoros i am comfortable with keeping now i am learning a lot. but these guys i don't know. what is your experiance?

thanks john

Finicky eaters..
Get very large..
Sensitive to shipping and water quality..
When young, won't compete with other rays for food..

Alot like a Tiger ray.. use the search function you should find alot on the true Flowers..

There is some info in here:

Your biggest problem with them is getting healthy indviduals. Once obtained, there care is similar to Motoro. They are typically less food aggressive at first, but with time they are just as aggressive as any other ray, in my experience.

Best to get an already captive established flower. Wilds are a different game/harder level. IMO

agree.... they are very sensitive rays... dont tollerate any stress very well .... i have had a few and didnt have too much luck with them... a 6-8' diameter pond thats about 30" deep would be best... if you need more help or other questions feel free to PM me...

they are stunning rays but imo need to be by themselves... especially when young... i know some people have had luck mixing them but it is a gamble and an expensive one at that ...
