I have heard so many different people say different things. The genus of a fish can't be an opinion it is a fact. The genus's I've heard festae be categorized in are the following.....
Ex-cichlasoma Festae (that is what I thought)
Amphilophus Festae
Mesoheros Festae
Nandopis Festae ( I'm %99.9 sure this isn't it, but I still figured I'd list it)
So, calling all festae experts. What is the true Genus of the festae.

In the past, the scientific community has moved the festae around in the other genus that you mentioned. Right now, according to the scientific community, it is Mesoheros.
