I have kept midevils in the past always a goodtime however, I currently have an opportunity to add true wc red devil to my collection. Just wondering what to expect alot of conflicting info out there I have seen 8 inchesax all the way to 16” max whats up. Hoping to hear from people that have actually kept true RD not just people
regurgitating what they've read or Heard

Likely your wild devil will be way more shy than a midevil or Midas or even tank bred rd. mine is very shy. I keep him/her with 4 gold jds and a wc whitesaum. Also my wild caught red Devil is not aggressive at all, The fish has given the occasional nip it if someone's been in his territory too long but aside from that there is no real aggression.

I don't know... I have two WC Red Devils. The male is always out in the middle of the tank and even bosses a much larger Synspilum. I had my WC female temporarily in a tank with a large Firemouth and Electric Blue Dempsey and she immediately set upon them with seconds of being released from the bag. Wild Caught Red Devils can be very nasty.

I find topics like this great though because this just go to prove that every single fish is different and one genius does not mean everything is a out right killer.

How long did you have your wild devils before they became so boisterous?
