True or false?

If a ray has been bred multiple times (more than 4-5) then the quality of pups degrade rapidly, and become "washed out"...

I'm very interested in hearing your responses. If you have first hand experiences please share.

Good question, not sure there is a correct answer. When you ask about quality, are you referring to pattern/color or general health of the pups? And bred 4-5 times with the same male?
My hystrix is currently carrying her 5th litter. All but the first litter have been with the same male. The pups have all been different in pattern. I can't say they have degraded with each litter. The only change I have noticed is the number of pups has increased with each litter.

Strictly referring to quality as in grade or, pattern/color, ect... a friend and myself were having a conversation and he said he was told after 4-5 litters with any male females are all washed up. Won't produce good quality pups anymore... I was like waaaaaaa? Lol

I think your friend was fed some incorrect information.

Just as I suspected I just needed some support from other people!
