I have had my true parrot from when she was 4" I have had her for 11 months she I a full 7" . So she is over a year old is she still growing? I kind of feel like she is. I am thinking of selling her if she is going to get bigger.

Yes she is still growing. Fish (and most other cold-blooded animals) have whats called indeterminate growth meaning they continuously grow throughout their lives, although they will ofter slow down significantly once maturity has been reached. I wouldn't be surprised if your parrot grew a few more inches.

Mine will be a year old in April and is over 10" long now. I can't imagine what he'll look like next year. At 4" yours probably wasn't very old so I'd say she has growing left to do. If you take severums as an example, it took about 2 years to get the full growth out of mine before they slowed down.

Yeah looks like I can't get a bigger tank any time soon. So I think it's time to look for a new home for her. I thought I could talk my husband into a bigger tank but it's not looking good.

Anyone in nor cal or Reno tahoe area want her?

my female is about a foot long, she looks huge in my 125g but it seems to be a good size for her. the only other large fish is my datnoid. she grew quickly at first but slowed down at about 8" she still seems like she's growing though. i'd like to get her a larger tank, something 24" wide

So how did it take her to get to 12"? Was it a year or 2?

Thanks guys.
