So I'm reading that these beautiful fish are pretty damn agro with other cichlids, but what about other kinds of fish? I'm visioning with a silver are and clown knife.

Mine is fine with anything it doesn't see as direct competition. I hates severums and chocolates.

I like the natural parrots a lot but upon hearing this I'll have to give up, I have a pair of chocolates and way too many severum lol.

I had one a few years ago I wish I kept him but I sold him. He was so pretty but shy! He was wild caught. He spent most of the time in his hide out. He only fought with fish if they fought him. He never went looking for trouble never really picked fights. His mouth was big.

The severum and him fought the most. It was my severum that started most of the time. Yeah I could see a chocolate being a bad tank mate because they are so simular. At the same time both tend to be laid back fish so it could be good too.

Over all as long as the other fish don't F with them all is good.
