im having a problem keeping 2 true perculas together. they fight and i end up with 1 dead. both times i introduced the clowns at the same time. is there any possible way to get them to not fight. like maybe introducing more at the same time?

I think it's trial and error, but if you buy them as a pair, it's almost guaranteed success.

I bought mine as a pair they are great with each other, They even sleep on top of each other. If you buy a bigger one then it if they pair it will turn female probably.

how big is the anemone they "live in"??? also if its a small tank then that might be due to the problem. bigger tanks with mulitple anemones usually work great. downside is whatever anemone they dont host with you need to feed yourself.

so far the clowns have not hosted in anything. the anemone is too small in my tank for them to host in. i have the clowns in a 10 gallon. ive seen it done and kind of just wanted to give it a try, but so far it hasnt been working so well. i think im going to try a different approach and keep the one i have now and let her grow then pick up a juvi in like 6 months.

you really should upgrade them to a bigger tank, and find a larger anemone for both of them to live in comfortably. i think part of the reason they are attacking eachother is because they are in such a small tank space. try moving them to a 20 or better(as long as they are the only fish otherwise you gotta go bigger)

Better to buy clowns as a pair.
