If the TRUE mono's is hard to come across now-a-days what are they crossing them with, and do they still get the hump and BOLD bright colors

can I see pics of the hybrid and get a little inf on the hybrid

the fish in the pic would be my ultimate goal but if all I can get are the hybrids I'd like to see what they turn out like

THANKS IN ADVANCE

ok im from australia so i dont no what you guys are doing over there but when sexualy mature my fish look like that i think its water quality feed and stress free life personaly as far as i know we have no cross breed monos here

Pure mono's arent too rare. YOu just need to get your fish from a good vendor. At my brothers we have 3 lake diamante mono's. They will grow up to be stunning mono's.

When it comes to cichla the more rare ones are wc kelberi, piquitti, orino, xingu and intermedia etc.

mono/ocell hybrids are the most common hybrid cichla you'll find. Their coloration and markings can be a bit variable though. They can still collect from Peru and some of our vendors here probably have young wild caught peru monos, but even then you won't be promised it will grow into a beauty similar to the one in the pic you provided. I always loved the black mohawk

Monos arent rare. At all. Problem is the FL Hybrids that are in circulation throw people off on ID. You simply need to know where your Cichla came from, but not rare.

I really do appreciate y'all for helping me I am very picky about my fish I'm a CA/SA Amphilophus, Parachromis, Nandopsis guy tryin to go a different route this time

I'm wantin 4-6 Pbass, a few nice rays (motoros and Leo's) a few big cats and a nice arowana this go round instead if going with my overly aggressive guys even tho that is my comfort zone

THANK YOU ALL

snookn21 had some nice peru lake diamante mono's as well....not sure if he still has them in stock.

Im sure we all enjoy hearing your new route w/ fish. Cause we are all cichla-holics :)
