I don't think they're common in the hobby here in the US as Florida gars are often misidentified as Spotted but there should be some true Spotted available in the near future for anyone who's interested. Toyin of Rehoboth is planning to get some in the near future. He had some but all were shipped overseas but he said he will be bringing in more. Just wanted to get an idea of how many people might be interested in them for him. They'll probably be around the 15" mark. Here's a pic of one that went overseas. They've got some narly looking teeth and nice green coloration.
