Trumpet fish

The ones I see in the ocean are quite skittish. Close to 4' long & they prefer to stand vertically. Not really a good fish to keep in captivity, IMO.
I found 2 spieces, Atlantic@ Red Sea? One 26",36".MIne is Atlantic.He's in a 300+ tank,with plenty of live rock/ plants too hide in.He even eats from my hand! Have you seen them in the wild only? I saw one in the gulf of Mexico about 15 yrs. ago.About 3ft.Never thought one would grace my fowlr so many yrs. later!Hope too hear from others who are lucky enough too house these gentle giants!
Yes, I've seen them while diving in the Carribbean. What are the dimentions of your tank? Since they like to hang vertically, it would have to be at least 4' deep, 4' tall & at least 10' long.
Yes, he does hang upside down.I bought him some fake plants,he sometimes hangs amongst those,mostly he chills and sometimes watches T.V or the cat(he sits in front of the tank @ watches the fish).He's about 1 1/2 ft now @ we house he/she in a 300+ fowlr.It's deminsions are 3x3x8.All the rock is placed against the back of the tank, he has swimming room 2@ can turn around.
