Hi there, apparently i have a local friend that has too many trumpet snails , just wondering if the shell too hard for my puffer?
my arrowhead puffer is around 3 inches now..

They are hard-shelled & have been known to chip puffer's teeth. Also, most lurkers won't bother with snails.

I think he was just considering this & hasn't tried it. My miurus lived with a huge apple snail as her maid.

haven't tried it yet,
just trying to get it on other diet instead of just bloodworm,
trying market shrimp now, no luck...
so does suvattii have the dentistry problems like other puffers?

they don't eat snails and don't have dentistry problems.

try to wiggle silversides in front of it's mouth and starve it for a couple of days.

If you can't ween your puffer off onto other foods, one thing you could try is get a piece of fresh garlic, crush it up real fine, and then rub it over the food your trying to get your puffer to eat... and more than likely with a bit of patience you should find your puffer will at the very least TRY the food... has worked for me on numerous occasions...

finally, 1 of my arrowhead finally took its first shrimp,
but the other one still no luck...
