Truth on Vita Chem ?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ive used it on 2 to 3lb fish....3cc s per fish. Ive exper. good and maybe bad.It may have increased brood size in spawns and may have helped trigger spawns. But I also have noticed stone or deposits in there stool...almost like kidney stones but in stool that smelled the same as the product,,,so I backed off even though its water soluble. I think this is a great product if used in moderation. I also used Kent Zoe,Thiamine HCI and Brightwells Vitimarin F. All worked equally well.

I've used it solid for two years now and have only great results. I have not noticed "kidney stone" thing, but that intrigues me. I admit that i don't smell my fishes poop, sorry had to lol. Their colors pop when I use it, it cleared up HITH and that's why I started using it and just never stopped. I add mine to Tilapia, massivore and prawns and not the water like the instructions say. I would agree with using in moderation, I just sprinkle a little on their food.

Where do I get it? Can I put it in my feeder tank so my feeders get it and transfer it to my cichla or that wouldn't work?

I have used it my entire time of keeping Cichla an I live by it . I don't use it year round because it is hard to come by. I have been told the company that makes it is closed down. But I always seem to find an old bottle on Ebay or my LFS finds it on the internet some where. As far as benifit's YES it's worth it. I have never seen any adverse effects from use only the benifit's from using it.
