Hello question: snapping trutle from 5"to 10" how long with good protein and water changes

Okay cool got you while mines should be here this week order it from trutle farm 5" putting him in my 90gallon got it 12" deep and running a canister filter and a heater dont no if i want sand or gravel on the bottom what you think?

A ninety should be a pretty good growing tank and I would either do gravel or bare glass bottom.
