Been feeding my fish fresh green Zewkine squash for the last couple of weeks my fish really enjoy it. Use to feed only HBC algae waffers,but now I put a slice of zewkine every day and they like it. If you want to try it get yourself a lettuces clip and take of the suction cup and tie a sinker with fishing line to clip and lower into your tank then tie another sinker to the other end so it does not fall into water and let the cover sit right on fishing line.Also cut the squash the long way into quarter inch slices,it makes easy for the fish to take bites out. It may take a few times till your fish get used to it but keep trying they will eventually eat it.Let me know how it works for you Noel.

Then it falls apart and makes a mess and the will eat the way I said and you do not lose any of the nutritional value
You boil it just enough to soften it, not make it fall apart. My plecos like it better par boiled than raw.
I've always steamed the veg for plecos.

Too messy for me & my tanks raw or cooked..but lots of plecs and loaches do start to crave it when its frequently offered
